This term we are learning:
In English this term, Blue class will be reading a range of traditional tales and fairy tales, we will also be looking at alternative versions of traditional tales and fairy tales with alternative endings. We will be retelling the stories with our own twists!
In Maths this term, we will be learning more about Shape and Space, Data handling, and consolidating written methods to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems.
You can support your child by reading with them every day, telling each other stories and discussing your favourite traditional tale.
Continue to practice the 2, 3, 5, and 10 times tables. Ensure your child knows their number bonds to 10, 20 and 100. Practise telling the time with your child.

Blue class are learning all about 'Our World' this term. We will be finding out lots about the local area and the many different habitats for insects and animals.
There are lots of opportunities for home learning in this topic: visits to local parks, canals, wildlife areas, the River Thames, Natural History Museum, Tower Hamlets Cemetery, Mile End Ecology park, Epping Forest....
You can share your own experiences of the world with your child and look at maps.
We visited The Soanes Centre at Tower Hamlets Cemetery, and did Pond Dipping! We found lots of creepy-crawlies!
